Komo Kids

Intermediate and advanced ski and snowboard multi-week lessons for youth

For generations, Komo Kids has helped kids and youth at Mt. Baker develop skills to become life-long skiers and snowboarders. The four-week sessions are for 7-12 year old intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders. Trained instructors help ensure new skill development on the mountain in a fun atmosphere. Groups are divided by age and ability. The sessions are active, instructive, and social.

  • All participants must be able to independently and competently load, ride, and unload chair lifts without assistance, and consistently adhere to good chair lift loading, riding, and unloading behavior.
  • The Komo Kids program is for intermediate and above skiers/riders (ability guidelines). Ability 4 participants are expected to be able to consistently control their speed by linking turns on green terrain and be prepared to explore blue terrain. At abilities 5 and above, skiers should be consistently linking parallel turns and snowboarders should be consistently turning from edge to edge on the corresponding terrain listed in the ability guidelines.

Unsure of your ability level? Check our Ability Guidelines to self-assess your skiing or snowboarding level.
