Best For Beginners

SKI & SNOWBOARD

Learn to ski or snowboard at Mt. Baker with the Best for Beginners package! Best for Beginners is designed for first time skiers and snowboarders and those working towards turning and stopping on easy green terrain. Participants are grouped into lesson classes based on age and ability. Lessons follow a beginner progression, learning one skill and building on it throughout the two hours. Participants can expect to spend the majority of their first lesson on gentle beginner terrain and on the handle tow slope. Some lessons may use the handle tow lift while others may hike around to find the appropriate terrain for their ability. The lesson will prioritize getting to know your equipment, learning how to stay in control, and working towards the skills needed for riding the handle tow or beginner chair lift. This package includes a two hour group lesson, rental equipment (includes helmet and either skis, boots & poles or snowboard & boots) and beginner chair lift ticket. Ages 7 and up. If you’d like to pick your own lesson group, we recommend a private lesson.
