Mt. Baker Ski Area is located 56 miles east from the town of Bellingham, at the end of Hwy 542. The sections below can help you prepare for your drive to the mountains. We hope you have a safe and awesome trip!
FRIDAY FEB. 6: HIGHWAY 542 HAS RE-OPENED
Our crew is preparing the mountain for the Ski Area to re-open for daily operations Saturday Feb. 7th
From WSDOT: “Our contractor crews completed repairing a damaged section of SR 542 at O’Keefe Creek (MP 43) EARLY and have reopened the highway!
Continue to expect alternating EB & WB traffic in the area while we make streambed repairs at O’Keefe Creek.”
