Housing and Transportation

TRANSPORTATION

Mt. Baker provides free daily shuttle service to and from work for employees who are scheduled to work that day. These shuttles start at designated locations in Bellingham, and have stops in Deming, Kendall, Maple Falls, and Glacier. This is a great way to relax (or sleep!) on the way to work, and meet your co-workers and employees working in other departments across the mountain!

HOUSING

ON-SITE OPTIONS

Housing options on the mountain are very limited. If your ability to work here is dependent on receiving employee housing, please note this request on your application; be aware that this request does not guarantee you housing on the mountain.

On-mountain Dormitory Style Housing: There are a limited number of on-mountain room & board dormitory style housing spots available for qualified and authorized employees. We do not guarantee housing availability, and a separate application process is required. Fees for room & board, including dinner, are approximately $240/bi-weekly and are subject to change.

#Vanlife: Mt. Baker also offers a limited number of #vanlife living opportunities for employees who have self-contained campervans/RVs. #Vanlife spot availability is based on application process requirements and approval. Fees for #vanlife vary depending on access but range between $70-$160/bi-weekly and are subject to change.

We encourage employees to explore Bellingham and the communities along the Mt. Baker highway for roommates and rooms for rental opportunities through the winter season as housing options.
