Golden Egg Hunt

Get your thinking caps and your eagle-eyes ready, because Mt. Baker’s Golden Egg Hunt is coming to the Mt. Baker slopes Saturday April 4th! There will be 2 separate Kids Hunts for kids ages 10 & under, plus an all-ages Main Hunt.

COST: FREE for all skiers/snowboarders with a valid Mt. Baker season pass or daily lift ticket.

9:00 am to 2:00 pm: Main Hunt
10:00 am to 10:30 am: Kids Hunt (Ages 10 & Under) C-3
11:00 am to 11:30 am: Kids Hunt (Ages 7 & Under) C-2

GOLDEN EGG #1: 1 Golden Egg with a 2026-27 Mt. Baker Season Pass will be hidden on the mountain in the Main Hunt area! Put together the clues to find the Golden Egg and win big!
CLUES: One (1) Golden Egg will be hidden in a place that can only be found by putting together clues that we provide (unless you’re incredibly lucky and happen to stumble across a hiding spot).

• Things that might (or might not) be helpful in using the clues to figure out the location of a Golden Egg: current trail map, google, transceiver, shovel

• The first clues will be posted on the online snow report at 7:00 a.m. for the locations of the eggs.

• If the golden egg is not found by 10:00 a.m., we will begin posting clues every hour or half hour on white boards posted at the bottom of chairs 5, 7 & 8 and in front of the Raven Hut.

542 SPECIAL EGGS for a drawing for BAKER’S DOZEN BASKETS: There is a SECOND GOLDEN EGG up for grabs in one of the Baker’s Dozen Easter Baskets! We are giving away 13 baskets filled with various awesome goodies! Throughout the “Main Hunt Area” there are 542 special eggs hidden (egg description will be released the morning of the Hunt). If you find one of these special eggs, turn it in at Egg Hunt Headquarters in exchange for a giveaway ticket. There will be a drawing for the baskets – including the basket with the season pass! – at the White Salmon patio the afternoon of the Hunt.

WHEN: Saturday, April 4th from 9:00 am to 2:00
WHO: All ages of skiers and snowboarders with a valid lift ticket or season pass riding the chairlifts on day of the hunt are eligible to participate.
WHERE: On some of the runs accessed from Chairs 4, 5, 7 & 8. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a map of the designated egg hunting areas!

If you see any colored eggs on the slopes of Chairs 2 or 3, those eggs are for the Kids Hunt! Please leave them for kids ages 10 & under to pick up. (They contain squishy toys, stickers, or other fun stuff for kids) These eggs cannot be returned for additional prizes like in years past.

FOR ALL ABILITIES

WHEN: Saturday, April 4th from 10:00 am to 10:30 am
WHO: All kids ages 10 & under with a valid lift ticket or season pass riding the chairlifts on day of the hunt are eligible to participate.
WHERE: On the runs accessed from Chair 3; Mitzi’s, Border & Lower North Face.
PRIZES: Brightly colored plastic eggs filled with prizes will be on the main, groomed runs and areas no more than 5 ft from the edge of the groomed areas. (coins, squishy mochi toys, candy, stickers)

Egg Hunt rules and maps will be handed out the morning-of the event.

FOR BEGINNERS ONLY!

WHEN: Saturday, April 4th from 11:00 am – 11:30 am
WHO: Kids ages 7 & under – Beginner ability only – with a valid lift ticket or season pass riding the chairlifts on day of the hunt are eligible to participate. (Kids ages 6 & under are free but must get a free lift ticket at the ticket office)
WHERE: On the runs of Chair 2; Heather and Roly Poly.
PRIZES: Brightly colored plastic eggs filled with prizes; squishy mochi toys, candy, stickers and more!

Egg Hunt rules and maps will be handed out the morning-of the event.

Current Mt. Baker employees are not eligible to participate in the Main Hunt.
