Last Stand Rail Jam

SATURDAY APRIL 13TH

Welcome to the end-of-the-season contest being held in The Sticks, Mt. Baker Ski Area’s freestyle feature zone located off of C-3/4!

The event will feature an exclusive rail setup for contestants separated from the public line. The contest will be in jam format with heats divided by ability level.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
9:45 • Meet us in the Feature Zone! Required competitor meeting.
10:00 – 10:45 • All Heats Practice
11:00 – 11:45 • Heat 1 – Beginner Ski & Snowboard
12:15 – 1:00 • Heat 2 – Intermediate Ski & Snowboard
1:30 – 2:15 • Heat 3 – Advanced Ski & Snowboard

LOCATION:
The Sticks Feature Zone, near the top of Chairs 3/4

Valid Mt. Baker season pass or daily lift ticket required for participation.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Registration Begins: April 2 at 7:00 a.m.
Registration Deadline: April 12th
Cost: $25

All participants are also required to sign a Release Agreement. The link to the online release agreement will be available in your registration confirmation message.

SELF-ASSESSED SKILL LEVEL EVALUATION GUIDE

Beginner Ski or Snowboard Category
• Feels comfortable sliding across some features
• May be able to spin on/off some features

Intermediate Ski or Snowboard Category
• Feels comfortable sliding across most features
• Can spin on/off some feature

Advanced Ski or Snowboard Category
• Feels comfortable sliding across all features
• Can spin on/off most features

RULES OF THE GAME

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED

This event is competitor judged. Each group will vote on the winner of their categories at the conclusion of their Heat.

In the event that the participants in the Heat cannot name a winner, the Event Director will call for a 1-3 hit Re-Jam for the top finishers!

In the event of any conflict the Event Director will have final say in any disputes.

Participants will indicate they are ready to take their turn by announcing they are DROPPING. COMPETITORS MUST ATTEND RIDER MEETING @ 9:45 for more details about format.

No using features during the feature maintenance periods between heats as STICKS ZONE specialists will do course maintenance.

No sandbagging. If you a beginner, you know it! Same goes for Expert. Otherwise you are an intermediate. It will be immediately obvious to the event crew and your fellow competitors if your intention is to under claim your abilities.

No inverted tricks are permitted. If you have a question about a specific trick please ask the Event Director prior to start the competition.

Participants under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to compete.

Unsportslike conduct will not be tolerated. Unruly behavior or offense language will get you ejected.
