For customer & public safety, Mt. Baker Ski Area strictly prohibits sledding and snowplay within ski area boundaries. Sledding and snowplay may be exercised at your own risk on National Forest Service Land, located outside the ski area. Go straight through the light at the bottom of the off-ramp, our building is the white building on the left side on the corner of Iowa and Moore St., across the street from the 76 gas station. From 1-5 South: Exit 254 is State/Ohio Exit, take the first right off the ramp (by McDonalds), go a block, take the next right on Iowa St, go under the freeway, take a left at the light, Moore St. MOUNTAIN Take Exit 255 (Sunset/Mt. Baker Exit) off I-5 and head east on HWY 542 (Mt. Baker Highway) for 56 miles until you reach the ski area. Yes, you can purchase and have your pass made at the White Salmon Lodge Administration Office when the ski area is in operation. Most major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint-Nextel, T-Mobile) have reception at the ski area. Reception is limited in some areas. No, there are no tv’s, ATMs or Wi Fi available at the ski area. Keep in mind that the last ATM before the ski area is in glacier at Grahams. There is also an ATM at the Fuelee in Maple Falls. You can purchase lift vouchers, which are redeemable for a lift ticket at the ski area ticket booth. Lift Vouchers do not expire. If redeemed after the current season, redemption will be subject to the difference in price between the value of the voucher and the lift ticket being purchased at that time. Vouchers are not exchangeable, non-refundable, and not replaced if lost. It is required by State Law that you carry chains in your vehicle from November until April. Please visit the official WSDOT website for current conditions and requirements. Due to lack of demand Mt. Baker no longer has child care facilities. We offer private lessons for ages 3 and up. Overnight parking of self contained RV’s and Campers is permitted in our parking lots, only in specific areas. These are: the southeast corner of the Heather Meadows parking lots, and the back (northeast) corner of the White Salmon lot. Baker ski area lifts run from 9 am until 3:30 pm. Open operating days and hours wholly depend on conditions and weather. Weather and conditions can be a factor affecting the days and time of opening. Baker opens as soon as we receive enough snowfall to do so; the amount of snowfall needed depends on the quality of snow and how it packs down. That usually ranges from 24 - 36 inches to allow a limited opening and we typically open around mid-to-end of November. Lost and found items are kept at the ski area with the exception of smaller personal items that are sent down to our Bellingham business office. All other items like clothing, snow gear, skis, boards, boots, backpacks, etc. are kept at the White Salmon lodge. You may file a lost and found report at either lodge administration office or by calling the business office at (360) 734-6671. No, there are no public phones at the Ski Area. Most cell phones carriers receive service on the mountain. Dogs are not allowed in the White Salmon base area. Dogs are allowed only at Heather Meadows and owners must adhere to clean up and prudent care practices. We offer gift certificates redeemable for lift tickets, rental products, and instruction (including our popular Best for Beginners Intro Package). Our gift certificates never expire! If not redeemed in the season it was purchased, gift certificate redemption will be subject to the difference between the original price and the purchase price of the product at the time of use.
