The USFS BACKCOUNTRY WILDERNESS & NATIONAL FOREST AREAS are NOT CONTROLLED for AVALANCHES or PATROLLED and have:
• Avalanches that could occur at ANY TIME
• SNOW IMMERSION SUFFOCATION hazards (SIS)
• Avalanche & snow-related hazards AT ALL TIMES
• Extreme cliff areas
• Other mountain and natural hazards
• Hazards caused by other backcountry users

If you leave Mt. Baker Ski Area boundary into the backcountry OR, re-enter the Ski Area from the backcountry,
YOU MUST HAVE ALL OF THE REQUIRED ITEMS or you will lose your lift ticket or season pass.

RESCUE MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE

You or your heirs will be charged for any rescue a minimum of $750
